The ride is 100 miles setting off from Derby Market Place (8am on Saturday 20th May) and finishing at Skegness clock tower. It’s free to join in, just register your details on our website.
There is no age limit and we’re open to any abilities. There are quite a few riders who already take part that specialise in giving new riders confidence in road cylcing in groups.
It’s the 5th year of the event and in total we’ve raised over £55,000 for the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre (DCHC) who provide holiday breaks in Skegness to underprivileged children from Derbyshire.
A lot of people stay over in Skegness and we have a hotel giving riders a discounted rate. In the evening we have a social evening, mixing with other riders and a bit of a presentation/ speech from the Charity.
Quite a few people this year are going to be cycling back to Derby the following day, just to add to the challenge!
